First Deaf woman to ascend this summit.

Heidi became the first deaf woman in history to reach the top of the 20,320-foot summit of Denali, also known as Mt. McKinley, in Alaska. She and her group were snowed in for four days at 17,200 feet, waiting for the weather to clear. She made it to the summit 17 days after she left the base. This was the first of the Seven Summits Heidi scaled, and it was only the beginning of
many wonderful adventures ahead of her.
