The Ability Summits Project is Heidi Zimmer’s initiative to raise funds and awareness for disabled sports organizations, the leading step in breaking down barriers down for greater awareness and development support.  A major activity of this project is climbing the highest peak on each continent, known as the Seven Summits.

The Ability Summits also wants to improve awareness of people with disabilities in athletics. Each climb Heidi makes is funded through the Ability Summits Project, a nonprofit organization.
